No board looking over your shoulder. No HR department to support you. Just you, with every decision, all the pressure and all the responsibility. An SME owner faces the same challenges as the CEO of a multinational, but without the safety net.
These are the four situations I come across most often with SME owners.
You see the future clearly. But your people do not follow, or follow too slowly. You no longer know how to bring them along without doing everything yourself.
Younger employees want autonomy and quick feedback. Older colleagues want structure and certainty. You are caught in the middle and lose energy to the friction.
Everyone is talking about it. But how do you apply it in your organisation without losing or overwhelming your people? You want to lead the way, not stumble.
Day-to-day urgency beats strategy. You work hard in the business, but who is working on the business? You lack a sharp outsider to guide you in that.
I have worked at the highest board level, from international groups to EdTech companies. The questions I met there are exactly the same as those of a driven SME owner. The challenge is universal. The safety net is not.
I work in focused, compact programmes. No years-long programmes, but 3 to 6 intensive sessions that deliver results straight away. We start with what is really going on, not with what you think the problem is.
And yes, I use AI every day as a working tool. It is the best assistant I have ever had. I help you do the same: practical, no fuss, immediately applicable in your business.
“Stop walking ahead of your troops. Make sure your people actually come along with you.”
3 to 6 sessions, online or on location. A quick start, with no long preliminary phases. You notice the difference after the first session.
I have led, built and transformed organisations myself. I do not speak from theory but from experience. You do not need to explain to me how an organisation works.
Two themes that every SME owner is wrestling with right now. I help you get to work on them in concrete terms, with frameworks that work tomorrow.
What you discuss with me stays with me. No reports and no external record. Always.
Honest and transparent, tailored to your situation. An introductory conversation without obligation is always possible, with no commitments and no invoice.
A business coach helps you see where it is really getting stuck: not in the strategy, but in the behaviour, the dynamics and the ownership in your organisation. I work in compact programmes of 3 to 6 sessions, aimed directly at what is going on. No long-running programmes, no reports.
When you notice you are pulling harder than the organisation moves along. When decisions get stuck. When you are three steps ahead of your team and no longer know how to bring them with you. Or when you need a sharp conversation partner without a political agenda, someone who says what he sees.
A consultant analyses and delivers a report. I work differently: no reports, no external plan that you then have to carry out yourself. I work with you in the conversation: direct, confidential and focused on what you will do differently tomorrow. The insights stay with you, not on paper.
I work in compact programmes of 3 to 6 sessions of 90 to 120 minutes, online or on location. No year-long programmes. You will know after the first session whether it works. If it does, we continue. If it does not, we stop, with no obligations.
Yes, always. The first conversation lasts 30 minutes and is entirely non-binding and confidential. No invoice and no proposal. Afterwards you will know whether there is a connection and whether I am the right person to talk to. So will I.
